2015 Austin Moto3 GP

Alexis Masbou from ‪‎France‬ ends Moto3 FP2 on top. SAXOPRINT RTG’s Alexis Masbou waited until the end of FP2 to set the fastest time of the day at the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas.
The rain finally stopped during the Moto3™ FP2 session and with the sun also making an appearance, it meant the drying track led to rather tricky conditions for the riders. With the racing line not quite drying enough for slicks, the time started to improve drastically at the end of the session.

The winner of the Moto3™ race in Qatar, Masbou showed his pace towards the end of FP2 to set a 2’29.267 to end the first day of practice on top of the timesheets. Andrea Locatelli (+0.038s) on the Gresini Racing Moto3 Honda improved by one position from FP1 to finish in 2nd, ahead of Leopard Racing’s Danny Kent (+0.576s).

Kent’s teammate Efren Vazquez (+0.806s) was in 4th, with the fastest man from FP1 Niccolo Antonelli (+0.841s) having to settle for 5th on the Ongetta-Rivacold Honda. Jorge Martin (+ 1.112s) was the leading Mahindra rider in 6th, as he finished over a second behind the leader.
Jules DANILO from France ends at the 18th position.
